Universities of applied sciences in Berlin
About a quarter of Berlin students are enrolled at one of the state universities of applied sciences in Berlin. The Berlin universities of applied sciences stand for application orientation, transfer of knowledge into the economy, and practical training. In addition to five state universities of applied sciences, two denominational institutions of higher education, and four art colleges round off the diverse range of offers.
In addition, 26 state-recognized private universities offer bachelor's and master's degrees, in the fields of economics, health, communication, liberal arts, education, design, music, and others. There are also numerous Berlin branches of universities from other Federal States, such as the FOM School of Economics and Management or the PFH Göttingen.

(Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht - HWR)
HWR Berlin offers a broad range of courses with a wide variety of subjects ranging from economics, business law, administrative, legal and security management, to engineering degree programs. One focus is on dual training: With over 2,200 dual study places, it is the largest provider of dual studies in Berlin.

University of Applied Sciences for Technology and Economics
(Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft - HTW)
With about 14,000 students, HTW Berlin is the largest university of applied sciences in Berlin. It has a wide range of courses of study in engineering, business, computer science, design, and culture. The competencies in the fields of Industry of Tomorrow, Digitization, and Creative Industries are particularly strong. HTW Berlin is characterized by close cooperation with partners from business and practical research in interdisciplinary teams.
HTW has two locations at the campus Wilhelminenhof in Oberschöneweide and the campus Treskowallee in Karlshorst.

Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT)
The Berliner Hochschule für Technik offers its roughly 13,000 students a range of more than 70 degree programs in engineering, natural sciences, and economics. The range of subjects includes classical engineering disciplines as well as new courses of study such as media informatics, biotechnology, medical physics, food technology, screen-based media, as well as event technology and management.

The Evangelische Hochschule Berlin (EHB) is the sponsoring body of the Evangelical Church and offers courses of study in social work, care management, (religious) education, and midwifery.
