Berlin is yet again looking to beat records!

This is demonstrated, among other things, by the news that the amazing sum of 10.5 billion Euro was invested in Berlin start-ups last year. This new high is no accident, but the result of hard work by all involved. The business founders in Berlin were never intimidated by setbacks and the team around managing director, Dr. Stefan Franzke, is also very pleased that Berlin Partner has received international awards for the best existing customer support, digital applications and specialization in cleantech (fDi Strategy Award) and that the Business Immigration Service has also received the Benchmark rating (Harvard Business Review). more

Berlin Partner Annual Figures for 2019

Berlin's success continues apace

For the sixth year in a row, the growth of Berlin's economy outpaced the national average. After growing by 3.1% in 2018, the two per cent growth in 2019 is likely to be significantly higher than the expected nationwide figure of just 0.5%. ¹ This positive development is also reflected in the results achieved by Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH. 8,936 new jobs have been created in the 280 projects the Berlin economic development agency successfully supported and completed in 2019. The companies will be investing some €825.2 million in Berlin as a business location.  more

The Berlin economy is booming. And the facts and figures presented as part of the annual report issued by Berlin Partner for Business and Technology offer further evidence of the city’s steady economic growth. More than 8,000 new jobs will be created in the 272 projects supported by Berlin Partner alone. This is an increase of 21 percent over the previous year. As part of these projects, companies are scheduled to invest €557 million in Berlin. more

Digitization attracts companies to Berlin

The economy in the capital city continues to develop positively. The balance sheet figures released by Berlin Partner for Business and Technology confirmed Berlin’s solid economic growth: In total, Berlin Partner organized 302 projects that helped companies create 6,775 new jobs in Berlin, with total investments running to €552.5m. Berlin Partner provides companies with economic development support to help in their settlement and growth in Berlin. Since 2014, the number of companies settling in Berlin has more than doubled to 126 in 2016. Companies from the south of Germany are particularly attracted to Berlin by the opportunity of collaborating with the local start-up scene. For the first time in five years, companies moving to Berlin accounted for more new jobs than established companies already operating here. more
